Anna & Patrick | Dowtown Alpharetta Couples Shoot

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is when I get to document moments for the people I love so I was thrilled to be able to do a couples session for my brother-in-law Patrick and his girlfriend, Anna. A big tip I have for couples doing photoshoots is to let loose and just have fun with it. Patrick and Anna did just that. We ran around on the top of the City Hall parking deck, danced along the greenway trail near by, and had lots of laughs! I LOVED the outfits they chose. They fit together so well and the matching vans were a sweet touch that added even more playfulness and personality to the photos.

I wanted to pick a location that had a mix of an “urban” feel but that was also close by to some areas with lots of trees and nature. We decided to go with Downtown Alpharetta and stayed mainly around City Hall. When we were parking, I absolutely loved the look of the top of the parking deck with the trees and red brick building in the background. I thought it was fun contrast against Patrick and Anna’s semi-formal attire.

We then explored around the entrance to the Big Creek Greenway and around the library. There is such a great variety of backdrops in that area. We didn’t venture down towards the shopping center, but I think that would make a great background for those looking for a photoshoot location that isn’t as “nature-y”.

The love between Anna and Patrick is obvious and I think it really shines through in the images. It was such a pleasure to work with them and I hope to be able to photograph more of their life moments as their relationship continues to grow!
